I have had two of these bikes for almost two years. The bikes are quite sturdy and operate within the parameters the manufacturer claims. One design flaw is pedal clearance while cornering is significantly less than most bikes so the inside pedal can collide with the ground while pedaling in a corner. I bent the spindle on one bike this way. It is a unique spindle made specifically for this bike. There is only one parts supplier, Green Max Distributors, and they are telling me the spindle is not available.
The batteries on both bikes began to fail after 8 months/within the warranty period. Green Max did honor the warranty, after 4 months of haggling, they replaced the LiMn batteries with the next generation of Li-Po4 batteries, but not without charging me an additional $55.00 for a compatible charger. (The Li-Po4 batteries do appear to be a significant improvment.)
In conclusion; It is a great bike and a lot of fun to ride, but, if you have to deal with Crystal...Read more

I have owned this bike for just over a year, and have about 750 miles on it. We are in Florida, so use it on level roads. On battery alone, it will go 17-20 MPH, depending on the weight of the rider. The battery life is good for 15-20 miles with a little assistance from the pedals. The ride is smooth and quiet.
We always pedal along, and the electric motor senses your effort and assist you. Thus you are exerting a peddaling effort that might propel you at 8 MPH, but with the assist you are going 16 MPH. Makes you feel a bit like superman. I still get exercise, but I also cover a lot more distance than I would with a non-electric bike.
The tires were puncture prone, so we installed slime self-sealing tubes in them: works great. The bike weighs about 50 pounds so althought you can use pedal power alone, it is a bit heavy.
Overall, I recommend this to my friends. It is a fun, practical, solid product
