This review is from: X-Treme Scooters Men's Lithium Electric Powered Mountain Bike (Sports) I purchased this item less than a month ago but I must say that I'm happy with this purchase.
I purchased it directly from amazon so I was not charged for shipping (supposedly lol), and ended up paying around 1,099 for the whole thing. Granted, this bike is pricey but I did a lot of research before deciding on this particular brand/model. Plus believe me there are other options out there way more expensive than this, so I tried to balance functionality, quality and price. Another important aspect for me was the looks of it, there were cheaper options but looked fugly and didn't have any brand names behind them. Enough of that, now about the bike itself: It required little assembly when I got it, it came with the tools and everything. It didnt come with assembly instructions which really sucked but I managed to put it together (plus it came almost fully assembled, just had to attach a few parts here and there). I have to say that I'm not very...Read more 8 of 8 people found the following review helpful: This review is from: X-Treme Scooters Men's Lithium Electric Powered Mountain Bike (Sports) I bought an XB300Li in October. It arrived with a dud power-charger. I contacted the company and they quickly sent me a replacement (I paid to ship the old charger back to them).
About 6 weeks later, while cycling home in heavy rain, the motor started to go off and on randomly, and eventually stopped working all together. I contacted the company and they asked me to take the bike to their distribution center in Fife, WA. They said it would take 7 to 10 days to repair. It has been 7 weeks now since I dropped off the bike. I don't know what has happened to the company, but they are not answering emails or phone calls. Searching the web, I found others are reporting the same. The bike comes with NO repair manual and no technical details, so if you buy a bike and it fails (as seems likely from my experience), that'll likely be the end of the line. Even a puncture in the back tire will prove challenging to fix. Until they suddenly...Read more 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: X-Treme Scooters Men's Lithium Electric Powered Mountain Bike (Sports) Just got bike 2011/2012 verion. Will return it, which will cost me over $150 to ship it back. I don't know about the 2010 version, but the new 2011/2012 verson has no headlight on it (a cheap looing tiny AA battery attach on light was included instead in the box), seat very small and hard with no shock springs like in the photos. There is no battery power charge indicator on the handlebars like in the photos. The paint looks very, very dull and flat, looks like someone took a can of black spray paint to spray the bike. Very, very, very disapointed. Would never buy again. Don't recommend at all.
Update: Also tires leak air constantly, must be leaking from the stems. I really wished I had not brought this bike : ( |
