I bought this for my 5-yr-old, and he can't even get it on his head. He wears other youth bike helmets, so I wouldn't recommend this item unless it's for a 2-3 yr old. Now I have to pay half the price in return shipping!

This is a great helmet i have a 5 year old and we have added the thicker pads to it so that it is snugger. he has been wearing viking helmets since he was 3. he will be in a youth size for at least a few more years as we still have the thicker pads in. so i must say the other review i read about the youth size being too small must be on a rather large 5 year old. For the price this helmet is well worth it!!!

I purchased a bunch of these for my skate shop and they are selling quick! Kids love the youth size over the Protec (triple the price)
