Other details include single speed drive chain, a twist-grip throttle, and a rechargeable battery that delivers up to 45 minutes of continuous use per charge (the battery requires roughly eight hours of charge time).

4.0 out of 5 stars E300S scooter, August 18, 2007

I got this scooter about 1 month ago, a little more. So far I am very pleased with it. The scooter is very easy to control, actually there is nothing really comlplicated about it. It is advertised as being able to go only 15 mph but I have clocked it at 19.7 mph. Only one reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the charger. The scooter when fully charged only holds its charge for only about 45 minutes. I have also heard from a reliable source that after about 200 charges the battery goes out and you need to buy a new one. This is still a great scooter and is a good value.

This seated Razor scooter is very well constructed, and even though it has only been test-driven one time because of adverse weather conditions, it seems to reach an adequate top speed. However: if planning to purchase the E300S Razor, be aware that the scooter will only operate for a maximum of forty (40) minutes, after which it takes at least eight (8) hours of recharging to prepare it for another forty (40) minutes of use.

It is also noted in the directions that the two (2) 12 volt batteries can be recharged about 200 times before they have to be replaced. This means if the scooter is used and recharged every day, the batteries will have to be replaced in just a little over six (6) months. These are two things that need to be considered before making a purchase.

I bought the scooter for my son and it is fine. It is easy to assemble and my son really likes it. I have had no problem with the scooter. The only negative is the 225 lb maximum. weight that is stated in the description. Perhaps this is the structural maximum weight in that it can support 225 lbs without breaking. I weigh 180 lbs and the scooter won't go very well with me as the rider. I would say a more realistic maximum weight is about 125 lbs. Any higher than 125 lbs and I would suggest looking at some of the 4 battery scooters.
