The Ace Skate Helmet by Pro-Tec is one of the most recognizable helmets in the park and is fully loaded to keep you protected from unwanted head injuries. The High-Impact ABS Shell is a hard shell both durable and high-density and made to take a hit. A Multi-Impact SXP Liner has rebound control so if the liner gets compressed it will rebound back to its original form and maintain its impact-absorbing potential. Has things heat up you'll have 16 open vents allowing fresh air inside the helmet and fighting to move all the sweaty, sticky air to the outside. I finally bought my 11-year old son a helmet he actually wants to wear. It's very lightweight & comfortable and he loves the style. I can't yet comment on long-term durability, but it seems very well designed & has stood up to about 8 mos of abuse without any issues. Great helmet!

We would be completely satisfied with this helmet if it came with alternate padding. Usually when you purchase a helmet you receive thick and thin padding that can be alternated out when the head grows. By the time we realized it didn't come with it, I had tossed the box and receipt and it wasn't worth it to me to try to get the padding. In fact I may try to get a hold of the company to get the padding.
