Pro-Pant with Tail Shield

I got these pads to help me in roller derby. I had a few spills on my tailbone without the padding, and now I'll never go back. I researched many options out there -- trust me, there are cuter ones, but I'd rather have sturdy, reliable padding than just some extra cushion that other pads offered. And, you can cover these up with a skirt or shorts, if you are using it for derby. I don't come home with as many bruises and am grateful for the solid protection.

I purchased these padded shorts for an upcoming snowboarding trip. I tried them on and was really disappointed with the lack of tailbone protection, in fact I think the padding would cause more of an injury then without padding because it causes additional pressure. The padding narrows in the tailbone area and easily rides up or over resulting in no protection where you need it. Instead I returned the shorts for the AZZPAD which worked great.

I bought these for rollerblading with my dogs as rollerblading dogs leads to falls here and there. These pants provide exellent protection for all padded areas. I have not fallen since I got these but I can tell it wouldn't be a problem anymore. If you land straight on the butt I am not sure that the tailbone protection in any soft padded pants will ever be able to be as effective as a padded hard shell for the tail bone would be, but these are the best soft padded pants I could find and I am very happy with the purchase. The tailbone protection will definitely make a big difference; I am just saying if you want full tailbone protection, no soft padding will deliver that. If you want soft padded pants; these are great!
