Summary: awesome scooter!! 2008-07-22
Comment: I bought this for my daughter who was turning 11. It is a smooth ride and easy to handle for her. I wish each member of my family had one as we all have enjoyed riding it. We vary in height, are all between 100-200 pounds but it handles just as well no matter who is on it.

Summary: Fatal design flaw 2008-07-03
Comment: - It doesn't turn properly. It just topples over at the slightest angle.
- It goes into wobbles at very low speeds.
- The wheels don't return to a neutral position on their own.
- The springs squeak all the time.
- The rubber grip is too small and too soft. It's also the wrong shape.
- It's too heavy for use as a casual commuting vehicle.

It's hard to see how an extra wheel can improve on the basic scooter design. Once you've mastered riding on two wheels, balance comes naturally and you can make tight turns. The extra wheel disrupts this natural balance so that even a skilled rider is constantly being thrown off balance. The result is an expensive, dangerous, and effectively useless curiosity.

Check out the videos online. Everybody is riding them in a straight line, or falling off. Those are the only two modes really possible. Micro should stick to making two wheeled scooters.

I have raised this issue with Micro and they seem shocked and offended that anybody should find fault with one of their products. They have yet to respond to my request for a replacement or refund.
