Product Review
Amazon.com Product Description

Cruise around town in style with this unique scooter and bike combo from Kent. Constructed of sturdy steel, this scooter/bike pushes like a regular scooter, but offers 12-inch inflatable tires to roll over anything (unlike traditional inline skate wheels and many scooters that stop when you hit a rock). Additionally, real side pull brakes and brake levers--rather than a small lever--will ensure stopping power while cruising along. The bicycle component of this unique combo offers foldable pedals attached to the rear wheel to easily switch out from a scooter to a bike in no time. You can store this innovative riding machine almost anywhere as it folds down to 38 by 21 by 12 inches when folded. Toss it in the back of the car or RV for fun and easy transportation. Kids of all ages (and adults, too) will have fun riding this fun combo scooter/bike. The maximum rider weight is 200 pounds.

Specifications:

  • Steel frame
  • 12" inflatable tires
  • Front and rear side pull brakes
  • Folds to 38 by 21 by 12 inches
  • 200-pound weight capacity

Summary: okay, but pedals hit my legs 2008-08-28
Comment: This is okay, but I probably wouldn't have bought it if I had tried it out first in a store. The pedals hit my legs - ouch - it is better to remove them. As a scooter, it is great, a good workout. I use it to keep up with my son as he rolls around the neighborhood on his bike, scooter, heelys, etc. The bike is something that I use only for very short spurts as it was not designed for a long ride. I am 5' 8" which I feel it a tad too tall for this scooter bike.

Comment: ARRIVED IN GOOD CONDITION, HAD A FEW SCRATCHES DUE TO HOLE IN BOX. EASY TO PUT TOGETHER. TOOK IT FOR A TRAIL RIDE, LOVED IT! BRAKES WORKED GREAT. I HOPE MY TWIN 10 YEAR OLD BOYS WILL DIG IT! IF NOT, I HAVE SOMETHING FUN TO RIDE!

Summary: Brakes don't work 2008-06-17
Comment: Neat idea but needs work to make it safe. I bought this thinking my grandson might ride it and me also. It is too big for an 8 year old and the brakes don't stopit. I even took it to a bike shop and still no brakes. Might be ok for a scooter but not a bike. Too dangerous.

Summary: Scooter/Bike 2008-06-14
Comment: This looks so fun and a bit odd, I just had to buy it for my 7yr old's B-day. The sad thing is, it is so heavy that he cannot ride it. It also is quite dangerous when going down even the slightest of inclines because it picks up speed so fast. For an adult, this is a fine product. The neck of the bike is very difficult to put together, and adusting the brakes is a daily thing. As far as for children I would not buy or recommend this product to anyone under 15. The seat does not lower even far enough for me at 5'tall (short) I have to lean so far forward to grab the handlebars that my balance is thrown way off.It is an interesting product, a real eyecatcher on the streets, but beware of all of the "issues" for children. I would not recommend this product to anyone that is not a dare devil and in perfect fitness, it takes a lot to pedal this bike.

Summary: Perfect for my purpose 2008-06-02
Comment: I'm a 68 year old active male who hates to walk because of pain in my knees. I want to save every click of my knees for things I enjoy. I bought this so I could sit while I walk. I can now "walk" with friends without ANY weight on my knees. I have the seat set very high so that I am almost as tall on the scooter as off of it. I love it.

It was a bit tedious to put together but no problem. Those that fault the brakes don't have them adjusted properly. It will stop on a time if you adjust the brakes.

Forget about using it as a bicycle. That's insane, given the location of the pedals relative to the seat. I didn't even put the pedals on. I will be removing the pedal cranks and chain when I get around to it.

The seat is hard as a rock - I will replace it. But for the price, it's an amazing value. Using the Prime feature, it came second day air for free! Total cost: $70.00. Unbelievable.

Buy it for the right reasons. It ain't no bicycle. It is a great sit-scooter.
