The Sport is outfitted with a race-born GPL290 engine that's been reconfigured for _quieter operation and fuel economy, yet is still amazingly powerful in its small and lightweight package. The engine variation is created through its modified cylinder, which has smaller intake and exhaust ports, a nonadjustable carburetor, and an intake silencer. Add the features together and you get an engine that delivers smooth yet thrilling acceleration, great torque for climbing hills, and speeds of up to 20 miles per hour.
Other details include Go-Active rubber tires, a 26-mile range per tank, a reliable direct-friction drive system, a fuel tank capacity of 1 liter, a kickstand, caliper front brakes, and rear engine compression braking. The scooter--which offers handlebars that fold and lock for easy transport and storage--measures 34 by 42 by 13 inches (W x H x D) and carries a lifetime warranty on the frame and forks.

I'm not light,304 lbs, and this little 29cc motor scooter gets me around just fine. Go-Ped is THE BEST when it comes to scooters. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, i got this from amazon for less than $385, you can't get it for less than 450 everywhere else on the web. it's got a million aftermarket parts as well. i put a $65 exaust on it and a $12 air filter, so now i can get up any hill i want.ALL IN ALL, i love my Go-Ped and if your looking for a fun and easy way to get around this is the way to go. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Joshua Parke (Everett, WA United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Go-Ped City Sport Gas Powered Cruising Scooter (Multiple Colors) (Sports) First pull and pull start breaks. Then notice there are no returns on this item. Being stuck with the scooter we used what they referred to as a "bump start". Essentially running down the road pushing until the engine starts. Actually solid engine and frame, but the big catch is there is stationary while the engine is running. Either you are moving forward or the engine is off. There is no idle. The minute the engine starts the back wheel takes off. Whether you were using the pull start or a bump start the immediate take off is rediculous. I am stuck with the scooter now and will still need to get another scooter that my son would actually use. 4 of 14 people found the following review helpful: By Bud (FL) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Go-Ped City Sport Gas Powered Cruising Scooter (Multiple Colors) (Sports) This thing will not run without the wheel spinning. This thing has no clutch.
I do not recomend it unless you want to take your child to the hospital for stitches. It does work and it is well made but it has the one serious issue. |
