The board is a couple inches higher than other kick scooters so it seemed a bit less stable, but other than that, it looks cool, is inexpensive, and the large 140mm wheels make for a smoother ride than the usual 98mm wheels, and the frame rattles less than other kick scooters. However, it can't handle rough asphalt. The main problem w/ this scooter is that the fender brake keeps breaking off. The fender brake snapped off after a few days of use, and there's no way to fix it. We took it back to the store and got it exchanged for a new one, but the brake on the new one broke off after a couple of weeks. So we gave up on the Pavement King and got the larger Pulse Road Rager w/ the 200mm wheels and much larger fender brakes. This one lasted 2 months before it suffered the same fate. I think it is because the fender is just riveted right onto the board, and the spot next to the rivets gets flexed whenever you use the brake, so sooner or later metal fatigue causes the fender to snap in that...Read more
