Being an independent company and having such interesting and new technology in their helmets I was quite exited about the G2 helmet. However having it in my hands now is a bit disappointing. It is heavier than it looks and not exactly low profile as advertised (just as big as the other helmet I have. The straps and foam parts look alright but just pulling it out made one of the velcro attachments rip. Not a very good quality sadly, not to mention the sharp edges that were just sanded off and not polished. The helmet looks sturdy so I'm willing to give it a try but this is the first impression I got.

I really, really wanted to give this one a 5-star. But I just can't because it doesn't fit in my head without adjustment. I took inner pads out of my old Bell multipurpose helmet and used them to tailor my needs. Then it fit correctly. I'll admit that I have a rounder, and XL sized head. However, I still believe that Bern surely could have thrown a couple extra pads in the box for their customers.
