Product Description
The Bell Trigger Youth Bike Helmet is constructed of an EPS foam layer bonded to a microshell using an inmold process, making the helmet both sturdy and solid. I bought this helmet for my 3 year old. He likes it, it seems to fit well, seems to adjust fairly easily, received good reviews from Consumer Reports. The only thing I don't like about it is the chin straps seem to twist a little bit between the ears and chin. My son hasn't complained about this being uncomfortable, but it looks like it might possibly be. I can't see any way to straighten them out all the way from ears to chin, it's just the way they are attached to the helmet. Generally though, I am very happy with it.
Oh, another thing, in the photo, the helmet looks almost red, white, and blue. It's really dark gray and black. I think the photo doesn't show this actual helmet but the design (style and stars) are the same.

My son is 7 and it was time to replace his helmet with something a bit larger. Of course, it wouldn't hurt if the new helmet looked great too! As always, I researched quite a bit before deciding on the Bell Trigger and then on the green and black scorpion flames model.
My son really loves the colors and the helmet adjusts to fit very well. So, the product has good reviews for it's protection (the most important feature of all), it fits perfectly, it looks awesome, and it's fairly priced. I don't think there's much else to say other than that I would recommend it highly for kids who have outgrown a toddler helmet but aren't ready for an adult helmet yet.

This helmet is great, even for adults! I bought it, after trying it on at a local sports store, and it actually fits better than the adults sizes, which tend to look a little too large for my small face (22 year old female). It looks great (I bought the gray/black stars) and when I got home, my husband at first made fun of me for buying a youth helmet, but after trying it on, he decided that he liked it better than his current helmet and went out today to buy his own! Great little helmet, if you feel like adults are a pinch too big.
