I bought 4 scooters for my 2 kids and myself for Xmas in 2010. Razor A5, Airwalk Grande, both sizes of the Go-Ped, the Grow Ped (small) and the Know Ped (large). My daughter is 7, son is 11, and I'm mid 50s. We already owned a couple of older small wheeled Razors.

The Airwalk is a knockoff of the Razor A5. Slightly larger wheels, but not by much. The Airwalk is not as polished of a design. It does have a wider foot plank, but the plank top is almost 2" higher than the Razor A5 (4 1/2" vs 2 1/2"), so the balance isn't as good and requires more reach to stroke. The construction quality isn't as good as the Razor, and it's heavier by a pound or 2. The one I receive was "defective". The post was not welded on straight. I sent it back to Amazon and ordered the Go-Peds.

The Razor A5 is a polished product. We all like it. It's noticeably faster and easier to stroke along than the Go-Peds. It is the lightest and least expensive of all 4 scooters we tried. The footboard...Read more

I bought this scooter for my husband so he could ride around the neighborhood with the kids. I bought it 6 months ago and it is still in great shape. I was looking for something my husband would fit on, and this seems to be the only option under $300. He is 6'3" and has a size 15 shoe. And so I wanted one that had tall enough handle bars and a big enough foot bed. THis one works! I wish the handle bars were a couple inches taller, but not a big deal for just scooting around the neighborhood. He foot fits on this bed and he can scoot without issue. The big wheels give great stability going over bumps. The kids LOVE him scootering with them and I've tried it and might get one for myself too!

The build quality of the scooter is good. The fender rattles a little, but is very secure. After a weekend of heavy use, my son and I both noticed that braking is subpar. The root cause if the shiny metal that is used as the rear fender. It simply has no "grab".

I am six feet tall and wish the handle bars were two inches taller. The deck is higher and will take some getting used to as it requires more significant bending at the knee. An adult may want to look at the Fuzion Cityglide. However, for smaller adults or tweens, this is a very good choice.

I spoke to an Airwalk rep and was informed that spare parts are not available (hence the 30 day warranty period that Amazon honors). Buyer beware!
