Good quality rubber and fiber. Strong belt. Takes the heat. Only time and mileage will tell me how good it truly is. Gates has excellent quality control even if they make their belts in China. However, it is much better than the generic Chinese belt I bought on Ebay new and only got a few miles out of it before it literally decomposed into dust and fiber leaving me with a mess to clean up. Interestingly, that belt didn't even overheat. It just fell apart. I recommend Gates belts. If you are looking a step up get it with kevlar.
